Cross Country Conditioning will be changing time just a little bit! It will now start at 6:15am! This will begin tomorrow morning and go through the rest of the week! Thank you!

Just a reminder that if you have a weight room card you have to come in and complete a new form every August 1st! Your card will automatically deactivate on August 1st if you have not completed a new form by August 1st! I am in the office Monday-Friday 7:30-3:30!

On Tuesday August 13th we will be having our Back To School Open House Night! There will be a meal served by the Sumner Commercial Club starting at 5:30! The meal will be Hot Beef Sundaes!!! Students and their parents will be able to come in that night and visit their classrooms and see their teachers. CONTINUED.....

Cross Country Conditioning will be August 5th-9th from 6:00am-7:00am!!

Volleyball & Football Conditioning will begin the week of August 5th! Volleyball conditioning still be August 5th-9th @ 6:00am! Football Conditioning will be August 5th-9th @ 8:00am!

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Just want to thank everyone that has turned in your student's packets. For those of you that have not please do so as soon as possible! Also reminder to get those physicals done!

The Date for Back to School Pictures has been changed! The date for this will now be August 15th @ 8:00 in the morning! This will be the 2nd day of school. So please make sure that your student is dressed and ready for pictures on this day!

In Short if students choose to bring their cell phones into the school, their phones will be shut off upon entering the building. They will be locked in their locked lockers. Locks will be provided by the school. Then the phones will not be turned back on or removed from the lockers until the end of the school day and when they have left the building!

Student Cell Phone and Other Electronic Devices
Students may NOT use cellular phones or other electronic devices while at
school during school hours. The use of personal electronic devices by
students is NOT allowed on school property during the school day, this
includes arrival for breakfast or morning meetings and classes. It includes
ICU and detention, until the student is off school property at the end of the
school day.
Students are highly discouraged from wearing smartwatches; if
smartwatches are worn, they cannot be used for communication purposes.
Any student who is found to be in possession of any cellular phone, or other
electronic device (AirPods, personally-owned tablet, gaming device, etc)
during school hours is in violation of this policy and the student code of
conduct.
Staff who discover students in possession of a cellular phone or electronic
device while at school during the school day will immediately confiscate the
device and turn it into the administration.
Disciplinary consequences :
1st, 2nd & 3rd offense: device taken away and the student can pick up at
the end of the school day from the office.
After the third offense, a parent or legal guardian of the offending student
must pick up the confiscated devices from the office in person. The
administration will return the device to the parent or guardian, after meeting
with the parent or guardian to discuss the rule violation.
Students who repeatedly violate this policy may, at the discretion of the
school’s administration, be subject to additional discipline, up to and
including expulsion.
If the student brings the personal electronic device it must be powered off
and stored in their locked locker prior to the start of the school day. As in
years past, the school is not responsible for the loss of personal items
brought to school.
Students who need to have electronic devices in order to monitor health
conditions will continue to follow their individualized plans.
Students who need to contact parents/guardians for emergency reasons
may request to use the phone in the school office.
Parents/guardians who need to communicate immediate information with
their student during school hours may contact the school office and a
message will be shared with the student.

This is a REMINDER! Kindergarten and 7th graders are required to have a physical before they attend the first day of school. All 7-12 grade students are required to have a sports physical to participate in athletics! The sports physical must be completed before fall practices begin!

The SEM marching band is asking all current and former band members to join us marching in the 4th of July parade in Sumner! We will have a quick meeting July 3rd at 6:00PM in the music room to get instruments ready and hand out music. If you can't make it, please just email Mr. Bosak and let him know so we can save a spot for you. We will gather in the music room at 9:30AM on the 4th of July to get our stuff and warm up. There will be a trailer at the end of the parade to bring the band members back to the school so they can get on floats. Wear red, white, and blue and dress appropriately. Write your name on the white board during rehearsal and on the morning of the 4th to get your reward in the fall. Thank you for marching with us and ensuring we represent the SEM music department well!

Back to School Packets have been mailed out the beginning of this week. We would like to have these returned to the office by July 10th at the latest! Please remember to keep the packets together and do not tear them apart. If you have any questions please contact Madiera in the office 308-752-2925!

We have quite the assortment of lost and found here at the school! I have posted a picture on the Facebook page and the website of the table and hanging rack! This will be available to check out here by the front office until Wednesday June 12th! Anything left will be donated! Thank you!
